SWAT 4 Color nick file!

When u install swat 4 colored nick were do you put it into because there is like content with system and stuff in it. can someone please help Very Happy

Hi Jamie!

I try to explain for you as the old posts seem to be gone. Read the whole thing before you start.

First of all you have to do a folder for Swat 4 v1.1.

Must of the times your Swat folder will be installed at "C://Program Files/Sierra".

1. Make a new folder with the name Sierra1 in Program Files.
2. Copy your Swat4 folder from the Sierra folder into your Sierra1 folder.
3. Update your Swat4 game with a patch (teh one in Sierra1). You will find the patch

4. Go to your Sierra1 folder to Swat4/content/system and your black Swat4 picture. Right-click and make a copy to your desktop (for the 1.0 version).

For those who have "no-cd patch".
3. Delete the whole swat4 game and install it from scratch.
4. Install the 1.1 patch and copy the no-cd 1.1 to this game. (the 1.0 no-cd is not the same as 1.1 no-cd)

If you have done the first steps you will now have a 1.1 version of Swat4.
In the system folder of the 1.1 version you now have a file called SwatGame.ENG. Sierra1/Swat 4/Content/System.

Now you have to edit this file. In example notepad.
Find this line in the file:

MPNameAllowableChaSet=

In the end of that line you add those 3 characters: [ ] =

Then go to the line:

MPName=

There you type a hex color code and your name, for example: MPName=[c=FFFF00] Dein nahme

Save and copy the file to the same folder in your 1.0 version. Then you will have your name in both 1.1 and 1.0 version.

Extra:

Every time you connect to a server or change the map, you have to do this step:

Go to your Game settings and the Game controls and then back to the game and your name will now have color.

For some extra information, if your game is in another language than english you will probably have a file called SwatGame.FR or .DE instead of .ENG. If you do not want to patch a whole new Swat game you can probably find the SwatGame.eng file for downloading. Just type it in google.
